Ecuador Central Highlands and Amazon basin
Day 1 - Cuenca to Ingapirca
Visit the small sister city of Azogues
Continue north visiting the Biblian Monestary and head up to the Ingapirca ruins.
Visit ruins after the crowds have left.

Sleep at colonial Hacienda Ingapirca
Day 2 - Cuenca to Riobamba
Head north visiting the Sand dunes of Palmira and beautiful highland countryside to the city of Riobamba “the Sultan of the Andes”. Afternoon visit some of its well knownmuseums or free to explore on your own.
Day 3 - Riobamba to Baños
Drive around the impressive Chimborazo volcano
​Afternoon arrival to Baños.
​Free to soak in the hot springs and try the local breweries.

Day 4 - Baños Waterfalls
Morning visit the main waterfalls in the area. Optional hiking, Zip Lines and cable cars across the gorge. Lunch Included. Afternoon visits above the town of Baños to include the famous “Swing at the end of the World” and other spectacular viewpoints.
Day 5- Into the Amazon
We’ll head into the jungle. Beautiful drive with more waterfalls and lush jungle.
We’ll visit the jungle town of Misahualli “monkey town” where we’ll have free time to see the monkeys that rule the town. We’ll continue to the beautiful and peaceful Arajunoriver, where we’ll do a quick motor canoe to our lodge. Dinner included.
Day 6- Lodge activities
Full day optional activities in the jungle, to include visiting the local animal rescue center, hike to the giant Ceibo, relaxing amazon float down the Arajuno river, bird watching, visit indigenous Kichwa community and chocolate production, river fishing. Lunch and Dinner included

Day 7 - Return to Quito
We will head back towards Quito, climbing the Andes on a spectacular drive. Along the way we’ll stop at the Papallacta Hot springs. Drop off at Quito airport @6pm or airport hotel. We can help you with reservations if you need.
